Seatly is run by a small independent team. This page describes exactly what we store and why, in plain language.
What we store
- Your seating chart — the tables you place and the guest names you type. Guest names are personal data about other people, so we treat them as confidential: they are never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared.
- Your floor plan, if you upload one. The image is stored so we can show it under your canvas, and a copy is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to extract the room layout. Anthropic does not train on API data.
- Your email address, only if you choose to give it, and only so we can send you the link back to your chart. We do not run a newsletter.
- Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
No accounts, and what that means
Seatly has no login. Your chart lives at a long, unguessable link, and anyone holding that link can view and edit it. That is deliberate — it is what lets you start instantly and share with your partner — but it does mean you should treat the link like a key and only share it with people you trust.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it. We do not expire charts, because weddings are planned months ahead and a chart that vanishes halfway through is worse than no chart at all.
Analytics and advertising
We use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits, and — if you consent via the cookie banner — the Meta pixel so we can tell whether our ads reach the right people. Declining costs you nothing; the whole product works either way.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of anything we hold about you, or for it to be deleted, by emailing hello@seatly.io. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.
